We approached Roche Harbor and called the marina for a slip but they told us they were full and couldn’t accommodate us. We started looking around in the anchoring areas for a spot to drop the hook but were having little luck.

As we were motoring around we just happened to turn the radio volume back up after turning it down so we could call in by phone when we first arrived. Minutes later we just happened to hear someone in the background in the office mention our name while they were communicating with another arriving boat. We called in and they said they had a cancellation and we were next on the list!
