Today we woke up in Santa Barbara and motored over to the fuel dock to fill up. That took longer than expected so we didn’t get out of the harbor until about 7:40. Reset the course to Catalina Island just pretty much a straight shot and spent about nine hours crossing the Santa Barbara.
The highlight of the crossing were the Dolphins. We were swarmed by hundreds of them played in our way almost the entire trip.
We anchored in Avalon Bay At around 5 PM. They have a pretty cool system to fit tons of boats in a very small space. A patrol boat came out and met us, processed the transaction and then let us into our mooring where we picked up the bow moring, and then he tied onto our Stern to pull us over to the stern moring.
We dropped the dinghy in the water and went to shore to explore. We had dinner at the Bluewater restaurant.
